Frequently Asked Questions

Expand All:
Can I grill steak without a marinade?

Absolutely! While a marinade can add depth and flavor, it’s not a necessity. For those who love the pure, taste of steak, simply season your meat with salt and pepper. This enhances the natural flavors of the steak without overshadowing them.

How do I know when my steak is done?

Determining can vary based on personal preference. However, a meat thermometer is your best friend in this regard. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F; medium should be around 140°F, and well-done is about 160°F. Remember, the steak will continue cooking for a few minutes after removal from the grill, so consider pulling it off slightly before it hits your desired temperature.

Any tips for achieving perfect grill marks?

To achieve those coveted grill marks, make sure your grill is hot before placing your steak on it. Lay your steak down at a 45-degree angle to your grill grates, and don’t move it for a few minutes. When ready to flip, turn the steak 90 degrees and place it on a new section of the grill that's equally hot. This technique not only gives you beautiful grill marks but also contributes to an even cook.
