Description

I love food with strong flavors, so it's no wonder that Indian food is one of my favorites. I love having a delicious curry. I really enjoy cooking Indian food at home, but sometimes the long list of ingredients can be overwhelming. It's not easy for me to make because I have to go to an Indian grocery store to get all the ingredients, and the closest one is far away. Butter Chicken is rare and unique. I was really happy when I found a recipe for Butter Chicken and realized it's very easy to make. Most importantly, you can buy all the things you need from any regular grocery store.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken

To make this tasty dish, you will need chicken without bones or skin. Cut the chicken into small cubes in size so that it cooks evenly and has the best texture.
After that, make a tasty sauce to make the chicken taste better.

Mix yogurt with garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, and salt and all other ingredients in a big bowl. Mix the ingredients until they make a smooth marinade. Dip the chicken in the marinade so that each piece gets covered. Put a lid on the bowl and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so the flavors can mix and soak into the chicken. For a stronger taste, let the chicken soak in the marinade overnight.

Take the chicken out of the fridge and let it warm up for 15 minutes before cooking.
This step makes sure the chicken cooks evenly and stays tender.

Now that the chicken is marinated and at room temperature, you can start making the butter chicken dish.
  2. Making the sauce

To make the sauce, you will need butter, sugar, garlic paste, Garam Masala, tomato sauce, red chili powder, thick cream, and salt.
Warm the butter in a big pan on medium heat.
When the butter is hot, let it sizzle for a short time. Next, put in the garlic paste and cook for a little while longer, until it smells good.

Put the tomato sauce, red chili powder, heavy cream, sugar, and garam masala in the pan and mix it together.
Simmer the sauce for a while until the oil separates from the masala. This shows that the sauce is ready. Add a little bit of salt until it has the flavor you like.

The sauce is done and can be mixed with the chicken.
Put the chicken in the pan and mix it with the sauce. Heat the sauce until it starts to bubble gently, then cook for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked. Enjoy the butter chicken with rice or naan bread.

  3. Assembling the dish

To make butter chicken, mix the chicken, sauce, and yogurt in a big pot or Dutch oven on medium heat. Heat the mixture until it starts to bubble, then cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring every so often. Keep cooking until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce gets thicker.
After the chicken is finished cooking, take the pot off the heat and mix in the heavy cream.
Eat it right away with rice, naan, or your favorite side dishes.

Butter chicken is a yummy and flexible dish that anyone can enjoy, no matter how old they are.
It is great for a dinner during the week or for a special event or a dinner idea.

What to serve with Butter Chicken

  1. This delicious dish is usually eaten with naan, which is a kind of Indian flatbread that goes well with the creamy sauce. However, butter chicken can also be eaten with steamed basmati rice, which gives a light and plain base for the tasty dish.
For a better meal, you could also have some yogurt or raita, which is a cucumber yogurt dip that goes well with the butter chicken.
Raita makes the dish taste better and gives it a fresh flavor. A refreshing salad can be a great side dish, adding a healthy and light contrast to the main meal.

When you serve butter chicken, think about how it looks on the plate.
Arrange the dish nicely, so that the bright colors of the sauce and the tasty chicken pieces stand out. Sprinkle some fresh cilantro or chopped almonds to make it look fancy and taste delicious.

Keep in mind, butter chicken can be eaten in many different ways.
Try different side dishes and ways of serving to find what you like best and make your meal even better.
