Description

Deviled eggs are a popular appetizer or side dish in many different cultures. These are usually made by cutting hard-boiled eggs in half, taking out the yolks, and mixing them with tasty ingredients. The filling usually has mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, and spices in it, which makes it creamy and tangy.

The filling is put back into the egg halves using a spoon or a piping bag, making it look nice.
Some popular toppings for deviled eggs are paprika, fresh herbs like parsley or chives, and crispy bacon bits for extra taste and crunch.

Ingredients
    For the Eggs:
  • 7 Eggs
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tsp pickle juice
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp Hot Sauce
  • For the Garnish
  • 5 cornichons (sliced)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
  1. Put eggs and 8 cups of water in a big pot and heat until it starts bubbling. Reduce the heat and let it cook gently for 12 minutes. Filter the water and put the eggs in cold water.

  2. After the eggs have cooled, peel them and carefully cut them in half. Then, take out the yellow part and put it in a mixing bowl. Use a box grater to grate the eggs.

  3. Add mayonnaise, mustard, pickle juice, pepper, and hot sauce to the grated egg yolks. Stir together well. Put the yolk filling in a piping bag. Pour the filling into the egg whites.

    1. Garnish with cornichon rounds, scallions, and smoked paprika.

Note

Picking Eggs: Pick fresh eggs for boiling. Eggs that are not very fresh are easier to peel after boiling.

Flavoring: The traditional deviled egg filling is made with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. You can make the filling your own by adding things like pickles, herbs, hot sauce, and bacon.

Storing: Make deviled eggs before and keep them in the fridge. Add toppings just before serving to keep them fresh and looking good.
